On visiting Vanku autosports to prep for our last StanceCoalition Dyno Day, I came across a very special and very different BMW. Wide and stanced with colorful wheels, I knew I needed to find the owner. After some searching I found Andre, a tall dude rocking some crazy colored kicks from a brand I have never heard of and for a price that blew my mind. I stopped him and began to ask him about his ride.
Andre picked this M5 up from a friend of his dad’s about 3 years ago. The M sat at his house for 8 months before the modifying had begun. When the modifying did start, a pair of simple HALO head lights was to start the road to this cars transformation.
With the help of the guys at Vanku Autosports out of Philadelphia, Pa, the real start began. A racing clutch was installed to help the stock 400hp get to the ground and a full straight pipe exhaust was welded on to make it known.
Next came the suspension mods to get this “old man’s” sedan sitting pretty. A set of BC coilovers were installed and a set of Varrstoen ES2 wheels with adapters to fit the BMW lug pattern were installed. She was then dropped and aligned to acquire the ideal stance the owner desired.
Then came the exterior modification, starting with the VIS carbon fiber hood, mirrors, moldings and badges all in carbon fiber.
The next big plans for this beast are some more suspension work, sway bars, extended control arms etc. Then, he plans on doing all carbon fiber interior trim, doors, shifter and console. After that a stage 2 supercharger to be installed over the winter, and possibly a Brembo big brake kit.
