This kit removes the stock, plastic, and restrictive intake tube and replaces it with a 3.5" dry-carbon fiber tube for maximum airflow. Tests have shown that pairing the stock airbox with a smooth tube and couplers is one of the best intake setups for the first-generation CTS-V.
Carbon fiber is used to better aid in the prevention of heat soak from the engine bay, which would typically happen with an aluminum intake tube w/o heat insulation, and adds a high-quality appearance to the engine bay.
The silicone couplers with this kit are genuine reinforced silicone for maximum strength.

*DeWitts Radiator Users: This intake tube could potentially interfere with the radiator fan mounting bolt on cars equipped with aftermarket, wider aluminum radiators. With some slight modification to the radiator mounting brackets, these intakes can fit with enough of a gap between it and the mounting bolt. See photo diagram above.*

I’ve had this on my car for a little over a year now and it still performs and looks the same as the day I installed it. Build quality of all the parts included is very nice and it’s quite simple to install on the car. If you’re wanting to spice up the engine bay look and get a better flowing intake tube this is definitely the kit to pick up.
I purchased this carbon intake kit for my 2005 CTS-V. The fitment was great, carbon fiber quality was spot on, and really dresses up my engine bay. The embedded StanceCo. tag was a nice touch inside of the tube. Shows that it's not some "overseas" carbon fiber.
