Club Loose ProBroDown 2017

Talk about last minute, huh? Pardon the delay, but it’s been tough getting content out lately solely due to finding the time to do it. While crewing for Kenric in US Drift this year and working on my own projects, it gets easy to push some editing and writing aside at the end of the night.

But, today I bring you our coverage from Club Loose ProBroDown. Every year, Formula Drift comes to Wall, NJ for round 4 of their season; however, the day after competition is where the real fun lies. Grassroots and pro drivers converge on Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ to enjoy a day of shredding with no worries of competition. It is a fun, laid back event that allows everyone to kick it and slide around with their bros.

It had been a while since I had shot a Club Loose event, well any event at that. It was nice being back behind a camera, but took some time to get accustomed to certain settings again.

Some of the pro drivers at the event consisted of Kristaps Bluss, Matt Coffman, Chelsea Denofa, Gittin JR, Dan Burkett and Chris Forsberg.

While most were in their FD comp cars, Chelsea decided to get down with his missile S13, so that he wouldn’t have to worry about getting banged up.

Vaughn Gittin JR followed suit with his missile car foxbody.

Tanner Munson debuted his new chassis after spending the tail end of the off season assembling.

He spent the morning dialing in the Munson Motorsports, LS powered E46, but his day was unfortunately cut short after a run in with Denofa, rendering one of his coilovers useless.

Kenric Meyer also had his LS BMW Pro-Am comp car out on track, but the same run in with Chelsea and Tanner caused a punctured radiator and the end of a day of drifting. (Kenric may or may not have caused the accident)

While being a common sight at LowStyleHeroes in May, it’s always fun seeing Kenric and Onward Supra driver, Mike Perez, shredding together on track. They both give zero f*cks and drive all out every time.

Matt Coffman and Kristaps Bluss stuck together most of the day, but both were sending heavy smoke clouds up into the overcast skies.

I was happy that I was able to get back on track for some media focused activities and this was actually my first ProBroDown at Club Loose. It’s very cool to see pro drivers on a longer and more entertaining course, compared to the quicker courses found in Formula Drift.

Thanks to the Club Loose guys, as always, for hosting the event and thanks to everyone that stopped by to check out the coverage!
